The second night of Jazz On Madison saw Trumpeter Sam Robinson with his quintet take Robert's Westside stage. It was a cold night but the jazz was hot and most enjoyable. Sam's performed throughout Chicago and the Midwest, The group plays straight-ahead jazz, mainly from the hard-bop, post-bop era. The band also performs original compositions in a similar style. Here's the lineup of player; Sam Robinson - trumpet Scott Angst - tenor sax Jim Holman - piano Aaron Krings - bass Christian Hindratno - drums
