Sam & Max Season One was released in partnership with GameTap, a game download service created by Turner Broadcasting. Part of the deal meant that each episode of Season One had a two week exclusivity window on GameTap before it could hit other services. The team filled the two-week gaps with whatever they had laying around, and called it "Interim Theater."
Sometimes that was a collection of short films from Graham Annable (grickle), sometimes they were behind the scenes clips, sometimes they were ... this. An attempt was made to create a puppet show version of the cinematic sequences from Episode 1: Culture Shock. The combination of homemade puppets, live rats, and a bleary-eyed team were too much, and the endeavor collapsed quickly. Fortunately (?) this video was preserved.
