Salvage is an original hopeful sounding hybrid orchestral Pop Punk song I made. It’s a bit of a music theory “experiment”, where I build every chord around fifths and fourths, instead of thirds and sixths.

Honestly, I didn’t originally expect this song to turn into a kind of pop punk sounding thing. You see I had two completely different ideas when writing this song. One where the song is super emotional and uplifting, and one where the song is super happy and fun. So, the entire time when writing this song, I kind of just went with both. This resulted in me adding in a lot of emotional pop punk inspired elements similar to Noisycell and Green Day to the hybrid parts of this song. Which I kind of love honestly! I’ve always loved emotional pop punk songs. I also always wanted to write an orchestral song that combines that style of music.
