Today's deep dive is all about salt in perfumery. We're exploring over 40 fragrances that feature sea salt, salty skin, ocean air, driftwood, mineral notes, sea spray, ambergris, sunscreen accords, tropical beaches, salted gourmands, and everything in between.
Salt has become one of my favorite fragrance accords because it can create the feeling of the ocean without relying on heavy calone or overly marine notes. It can make citrus brighter, florals softer, woods smoother, gourmands more addictive, and skin scents feel incredibly realistic.
Whether you're looking for a fresh beach fragrance, a salty coconut vacation scent, a marine masterpiece, or even a salted caramel gourmand, there's something here for everyone.
