Floating majestically above the city, Oshi Castle is one of Gyoda's most famous symbols. After being destroyed during the Meiji Era (1868-1912), the castle was reconstructed and now serves as a museum that offers a glimpse into the past. Additionally, visitors to the castle can enjoy performances by the entertaining Oshi Castle warriors, featuring daring swordfights and post-show photo-ops with the castle's valiant fighters!
Some of the brave performers can also speak English and would be happy to give you a short tour or recommend some top spots for a bite to eat!
