I have been playing a lot of Tommy's tunes but because the steelstring kills my fingernails I often play these pieces on my classical guitar. In some cases I find the sound of the nylon really well suited for his music. In this case, since it is a tribute for his brother, I have found it to work exceptionally well and I hope you like it!

The first time I saw the character Quicksilver in action in the Marvel Movies, there was just 1 thing that caught attention: The Soundtrack! I LOVE Time In A Bottle and to use that song in a movie like that I thought was genius... I play it with a friend of mine in a guitar duo and I just realised this week I never did a tutorial on it on my channel... I think Gabriela Quevedo has a version of it that includes melody, this tutorial will stay true to the guitar played in the song.

THE MUSIC ALPHABET
Just like in reading and writing, music has an alphabet too.
But instead of 26 letters we have 7 notes:
A B C D E F G
HALF AND WHOLE TONES
When we put index finger in 1st position of E,
and move it 1 position up the neck, weve moved
it a half tone or semi tone up the neck.
So: Each fret we move up, is a half tone,
or: a half tone = 1 fret
When we put index finger in 1st position of E,
and move it 2 positions up the neck, weve moved
it a whole tone up the neck.
So: Each 2 frets we move up is a whole tone
Or: a whole tone= 2 frets
FINDING THE NOTES ON THE A STRING
Step 1: Find the A string
Step 2: From A-B is a whole tone, so that means we
have to go up 2 frets from A. Since A is an open string (Fret 0) we go to 0+2=2, so second f ret or second position.
Step 3: From B-C is a half tone, so that means we go up 1 fret from B (fret 2). 2+1=3 so C is in position 3.
Step 4: From C-D is a whole tone, so that means we go up?....
Step 5: From D-E is a ..... tone, so that means we go up .....
Step 6: From E-F
Step 7: From F-G
Step 8: From G-A")
