Strange and fascinating shapes and formations. I am thinking about flying to the same spots every day to see how they change.
Anyway, this is intended to guide the fishermen (and women). I have no idea what the ice is telling me but you guys probably know instantly, like thickness, odd markings (like the skating rink (?) with all those 90˚ turns). Hey I think I saw snowshoe tracks too? I noted on video. Discussion welcome!
Equipment: DJI Phantom 3 advanced, movie rendered 2x actual speed to avoid boredom - use YouTube controls if you want it slower. Please excuse the two interruptions: I lost the control signal for 30 seconds at one point (recovered just in time!!) and then the battery died more quickly than it should have, hence the beeline for home.
