A short reading from King Harald's Saga about King Harald building a beautiful ship and sailing from Trondheim down this very coastline.
Filmed on board the Hurtigruten MS Finnmarken between Trondheim and Kristiansund with the kind help of Beau - I tried to film another extract in Trondheim previously but it was a bit of a blizzard and didn't come out at all!

This was the Penguin Classics edition of Snorri Sturluson's work translated by Magnus Magnusson and Hermann Pálsson in 1966.

I read this Saga thanks to #Sagalong, a readalong of the Icelandic Sagas hosted by Elena Makridina, Steve Donoghue, Totally Pretentious, Richardson Reads and Biblio Atlas, all of whom have been doing lovely interesting informative videos on the stories involved.
