This is a trailer "The River of Muddy Water," a short film that looks at the many challenges to water security in Kenya.
The film by examining the confluence of Maasai farmers who rely on the Ewaso Ng'iro river for virtually all their water needs, the scientists who are studying and forecasting the water flows in the region, and policymakers who work to bring reliable water to local populations.

The film features ecohydrology field research in Laikipia, Kenya, under the direction of Kelly Caylor, assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering, as well as the African Drought Monitor project headed up by Eric Wood, professor of civil and environmental engineering, and Justin Sheffield, a research scholar in that department.
Research featured here was sponsored by the Princeton Environmental Institute, the National Science Foundation, the NASA Earth Science Directorate, the NOAA Climate Program Office, and the UNESCO International Hydrology Program.
The film is directed and narrated by Sara Sadri, a postdoctoral researcher in the department of civil and environmental engineering.
