Hi everyone, sorry we have been a bit quiet recently. This was filmed a couple of weeks ago but I was struggling to get around to editing and uploading it. But basically we have some awful unexpected news... We lost Shindig. She was doing great and just went off her food one day, we rushed her to the vet and they couldn't understand what was wrong, she was in good health, a good weight, great teeth, she didn't have an obstruction.
They gave her an injection to stimulate her gut and some oral medicine for us to give her over the course of a few days. We syringe fed her water and she had lots of critical care which she ate from a spoon. She was very quiet and placid, not like her at all. We had lots of cuddles with her and brought her inside to make her as comfortable as possible.
The next day she seemed to be perking up and then in the evening seemed to be going down hill again. We decided to wait a bit longer for the medicine to kick in and take her back to the vets in the morning but when it came to check on her, she had passed away in the night. It was a massive shock and we are heartbroken!
We still don't understand what went wrong. A similar thing happened to her sister Ruby so maybe they had been bred badly or had some underlying issues, we have no idea 😢 We miss her so much! Here is a compilation of some of my favorite footage of her
