The Sacramento area is expected to see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies Wednesday before patchy drizzle moves in Thursday morning. The drizzle is expected to begin around 8 a.m. along and north of Interstate 80 and continue through lunchtime before shifting farther north around 3 p.m.

The forecast does not call for heavy rainfall. Isolated rumbles of thunder are possible at higher elevations Thursday afternoon.
