Of the 33 miles covered on this hike, 29 overlapped with the Great Western Trail (GWT) through Utah's Uinta Wasatch Cache National Forest. Most of this GWT hike shared tread with motorized traffic but was rewarded with a soak in Fifth Water Hot Springs in the end. A scenic but time-consuming 72+ mile shuttle facilitated this hike; Special thanks to Kristiana for making that possible. This particular section of trail was more personal to me as it travels through Wasatch County, Utah where I live.
