Disneys Dirty Depends - Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Seagulls Gather 2024-03-03 | Dial of Destiny, the latest disaster in the Indiana Jones 'franchise' came out in 2023 amidst rumours of a $300m+ budget, poor reviews from peers and audience apathy. It bombed harder than the RAF. It's predecessor, the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, arguably sowed the seeds for the cinematic failure being more memorable for the memes it launched than the film itself. Crystal Skull ruined the series' good reputation with existing fans and failed to capture a new, younger audience. To follow that up with a $300m budgeted movie is the sort of corporate genius that rivals the Sinclair C5 and New Coke. Willow Deserved Everything It Got Seagulls Gather 2023-07-08 | A look at the beginning of the series Willow from lucasfilm. This is a sequel to the 1988 movie of the same name. Willow stars Warwick Davies and Joanne Whalley. It was written and developed by Jonathan Kasdan who is the son of Lawrence Kasdan who, in turn, was one of the writers of Empire Strikes Back and the Force Awakens. Jonathan Kasdan was one of the writers on lucasfilm's Star Wars bomb - Solo. This series was considered so bad that Disney Plus quickly removed it from its streaming services.The really awful part of willow isn't how dreadful the show is, it's how it was funded - with the aid of Taxpayers money in no less than four different countries.

Battlestar Galactica by Robert Thurston and Glen A Larson Book Review Seagulls Gather 2023-05-27 | Battlestar Galactica was a 1978 TV show from prolific tv exec (and occasional plagiarist) Glen A Larson. It follows the survivors of the Cylon attacks on 12 human colonies as they travel into space in search of a new home called 'Earth'. The cast of heroes includes Commander Adama, his children Apollo and Athena, pilots like Starbuck and Boomer, and the former newswoman Serina. The TV show did not run for very long but the series of novels released to promote it reached 14 books.
