In this demo, we’re using an S-36 Pneumatic FlexArm to perform small hole tapping in laser cut stainless steel plates.
The test covers tapping 4-40 and 6-32 threads, including tapping through laser-cut holes that can have heat-affected, work-hardened edges. This shows how a pneumatic tapping arm handles small threads in stainless steel while maintaining control and consistency across multiple holes.
This type of application is common in fabrication and production environments where laser cutting is used upstream and repeatable, ergonomic tapping is required downstream.
