In biblical lore Lilith was Adam's first wife, created by God from the same dust as Adam. But upon learning what she was created for she refused to lie beneath him and be subservient to him and fled to the Red Sea. Her wish was to be Adam's equal, but God refused this wish and banished her from Eden forever. For centuries she wandered the Earth alone in her true form, never wishing to be seen as human, for humans were the confused creations of an unrelenting God. Yet after many years she grew tired of her loneliness and decided to give humanity one more chance. Upon meeting Dean she quickly knew she had been wrong about all mankind being alike, but he knew of such creatures as she and once witnessing her powers, also knew it was only a matter of time before he discovered her true nature.
