Wild Dance of the Machine God : SRW OG - PC-98 Remix (15 Min Extended)
updated
Happy Halloween, folks! I just wish I was quicker at composing stuff. It takes too long to do one of these...
Bless y'all!
I'll add a proper description later, I'm off to bed zzzzzzzzzzzz
Bless y'all!
In Round 4, we had to cover tracks that did not have 4/4 as their time signature (my idea, since I won the previous round). Which led me to say "screw it" and pick this one. A very difficult one to adapt to the YM2612, especially because I had to transcribe everything by ear, and I'm positive there are wrong notes here and there (to be honest, it's difficult to hear it even with the reverb disabled). Last one tomorrow, then I don't know what's next. Enjoy!
Bless y'all!
In Round 3, we had to cover a SNES track and make it as close as possible to the original. I went with a heavy hitter. It paid off :D
I remember I stayed until very late night to finish this one... with literally 5 hours left to submit. Lucky my dad didn't wake up all of a sudden on the middle of night to scold me. Enjoy!
P.S.: Round 4 tomorrow and Round 5 on Wednesday. After that, back to being a dead channel. 🤷
Bless y'all!
I joined this contest on Sonic Hacking Contest's server during Round 2, and as a rather experient guy in competitions, I definitely did not join it with an illegal entry XD
Long story short, we had to pick a Sonic 2 track and make it in the style of Sonic CD, except you couldn't make it a Present style. Guess what I did. Yep, Present style.
And because I was very embarassed about it, I didn't post it until now. Welp, had to revive this channel one day or another. Enjoy.
P.S.: Yes, I'll be posting more of the other rounds I did.
P.S.2: thanks, past me, for reminding me to credit brickblock369 for the sitar. I couldn't make a better one, so I went with yours, mate 😅
Bless y'all.
Haven't done much throughout the year, but I shall post more soon. Won't promise.
Oh would you look at that! Content ID! (yes, it is the song you identified, mister bot, well done) Don't worry, YouTube, I won't monetize this video. :D
Also, before I totally forget, thanks @RobinNerdington for lending a hand on this one!
Bless y'all!
Was bored. Did this in three hours. Short, but very nice. Enjoy. Gotta go bed. Good night.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Bless y'all!
Late Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Lessons from 2022:
- I'm the laziest person on Earth, and this is gonna ruin me sooner or later
- Doing stuff on the Eve doesn't go well (hence why there was no special video on Christmas)
- If you can't do something in a day, try at least leaving something in advance, even if it's just something you did in 30 minutes. It helps a lot, really
- Even if you consider yourself a person of logic and reason, trust your guts/instincts sometimes. Even if they're not correct, there might be some truth to what you felt
- Stupidity is the main motor that drives history. And by that I don't mean the merely stupid...
I won't confirm or deny if the planet in question is Earth or not.
NOTE: This was submitted to the Autumn Jam V in Chiptune Café, on December 31st, 2022.
Bless y'all!
I remember listening to this song for the first time when Jack Walker, arranger of this piece, shared a WIP of the newer classic version he was making. Ever since, this has been one of the many tracks that live rent free in my head. Original plan was to make a Genesis cover, but it was clear from the start I was gonna miss on polyphony. Then RF5C68 got added into Furnace. Couldn't have arrived at a better time. The rest is history.
Original composition by The Zenith Serene.
Bless y'all!
P.S.: Jack I think I got kicked from your server halp can't join back ;-;
Y'know when a song is stuck in your head for the longest time and you just wanna let it out? Yeah, this is me with this song. I don't think I can ever compose something better than this, and I wouldn't even call this the definitive rendition. There is only much you can do with the limitations I'm working with here. Like 4 years ago, I wanted to add a third segment to make up for the name of the song, but when I was starting it, I just felt the Genesis chip couldn't live up to my vision of it, so I decided to scrap it and just loop back to the start.
I composed this one back in 2018, for a BoTB major compo. Back then, I was just starting with university classes and chiptunes too. Four years later... I don't know how to feel about this. Usually I don't feel like doing anything, and at the same time, I'm always worried about not being able to do things in time. I don't know if I'll be able to live by myself with such a mindset. Becoming a true adult is probably the "hard transition" I was envisioning when composing this, I suppose.
Bless y'all!
Also my own server, but in Guilded. Say hello to the Atomic Realm. For now, it's just a backup server, since I still use Discord mainly. No promises here, okay? guilded.gg/i/k5ad8BVk
Just a little experiment with Furnace Tracker. It was pretty interesting. If someone were to do a demake of KOF '02 UM, I think some adaptations would be necessary, but it's entirely possible to recreate all tracks faithfully. I've used more sample space than I wished for, but less than 500kb (ADPCM) was my objective, and I've succeded. Had to recreate a section myself since I couldn't split it with the program I use here. Hope you enjoy.

Gosh, this was a difficult one. It's not the most complex, but it's a 5 minutes song. Order count went up to 112, which is rather impressive.
About the song choice, I just stumbled upon it one day and fell in love instantly with some of the motifs in this song, so I just had to do it. Yes, the Genesis chip ain't the most appropriate for this, but I'm positive I did good in here (better in terms of FM than Huelsbeck on Mega Turrican for sure haha). Hope you enjoy!
Bless y'all!
I must be honest: I was about to drop out of the chiptune scene. Maybe even music at all. But this new tracker created by tildearrow, named Furnace, has brought me some fresh new air towards music. Reason? Multi-chip. This opens lots of possibilities for music creation to me. Seriously. Considering the sort of compositions I try to create, what I had in hands was too limited for me to work with. So I created this remix to see how I would manage to work with more channels at disposal. Honestly, I'm proud of it. This song is simply great. And of course, I added my own touches to not make it too bland. I hope you enjoy it!
Bless y'all!
In case of future petty demeanors coming from Discord, this shall become the new home of the channel. Say hello to the Atomic Realm! The place is dormant for now, but I'll be there to chat anytime: guilded.gg/i/k5ad8BVk
Never expected to do this, but here we are. A song from the Super Robot Wars series. Honestly, the day I found this soundtrack, I fell in love with it. So many great themes. And the best part: all of it is sequenced, which improves workflow 1000x. Of course I went for a less known song of it, but it's one of my favorites.
The bassline is based on the Super Robot Wars Compact 3 arrangement, because it would help to fill in for the lack of voices to put everything into this remix, besides being quite funky as well.
Extended, by 15 minutes, version (might do it for more tracks in the future): youtube.com/watch?v=RbUYAl5eblU
Bless y'all!
Finally! Sup guys? Long time no see.
First, I must apologize for the lack of content in the channel. It's been rough. For two years. No motivation to continue whatsoever. But we're still in, and we're still rockin'! I've got some extra free time, so I'll try to unbury some projects and bring them to y'all. While you wait for some more...

Songs:
- Can You Feel - Torchkas
- Stranger Things (C418 Mix) - original by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein
Bless y'all!
Made for the latest Jam on Chiptune Café. Can't talk much right now, gotta go!
Bless y'all!
I barely made it in time. It's crazy how I managed to fit everything in, leaving 15kb free on the final .spc file. Helps that this arrangement is somewhat simple (except in the end, due to the piano sequence that they decided to throw in for the lolz -_- took me a goooood while to figure it out). It has a mix of direct sampling (very crucial for the fidelity of this arrangement), instruments taken from games and custom samples (which includes at least 3 FM samples in the bag). It was a fun challenge and it was worth it in the end, sounds quite close to the original.
Bless y'all!
I'M BACK. Now with another cover. Woowie, this was pretty fun to do. Made this for a competition on Chiptune Café (Out of Time 2). This arrange has a mix of different aspects, bringing a little of other three versions ('96 Arranged Soundtrack, '98 and 2002 UM) into it, plus a quick improvised guitar solo. Well, that's all I wanted to say, I guess. :P
Bless y'all!
This was a re-arrange made for Noah Copeland's fan-game Sonic Triple Trouble 16-Bit: gamejolt.com/games/sonictripletrouble16bit/322794
Man, long time no see, folks. These quarantine months have really struck me hard, couldn't produce anything else at all. Not even covers. I'm sorry for this, guys. I don't know when I'll start doing new music again, but hopefully I'll put my best at the next tracks I compose. Thank you for your attention.
Bless y'all!
Requested by the arranger. Original song by Laxity and DRAX. NOT MY COVER.
Bless y'all!
Original from Final Fantasy 7.
I did this just for fun, but I felt like fighting a boss while mounting this oscilloscope view. This is the first ever osc view of a PS2 song I'm aware of on Youtube. The process was like this: get the .psf2's, use VGMTrans to extract MIDI and .dls, reduce the amount of channels in-MIDI if necessary, mix multiple channels in-MIDI if necessary, open MIDI with OpenMPT, fix instruments if necessary, export .wavs, add fade-out to them and voilá. But I'mma tell you the many issues I had. The amount of virtual channels (not proper channels) produced by the initial MIDI was too big, causing many overlappings of notes from the same group/MIDI Channel and messing up the sounds in the process. I was able to reduce it to 16 MIDI channels, but since the 10th MIDI channel is the drums' channel, I had to export it separately from the other 15 and glue it in the module generated on OpenMPT. The final module had 28 channels, and I wanted to reduce this number somehow. I thought of doing it directly on the module, but it proved to be a gruesome task, so I had to do it on the .wav's themselves, by mixing the ones that wouldn't overlap at any instance, and with that, I got 24 channels, which is quite a relief for me. With that, I've allowed for as many channels to be active at the same time, improving the experience. Okay, I hope you enjoy it. Bye!

Requested by the arranger. Made with j0CC-Famitracker.
Bless y'all!
Requested by the arranger. I'll do the next request tomorrow, now I'll go bed. Good night.
Bless y'all!
Once again, requested by the arranger. Not my remix. Again, I'm taking request for osc views, but NO FULL OST and NO DIRTY SONGS. Thank you for your comprehension.
Bless y'all!
And another gold on Chiptune Café, oh boy! I honestly didn't think I'd get gold this time. Most of the composition I had written in my head, but there was a part I had to improvise because I needed to rush before hitting the deadline. Even with all the issues I had before completing this piece, everything worked out in the end. Thanks for everyone who voted in me, allowing me to win another Jam. Thank you and Happy Easter!
Bless y'all!
Requested by the arranger. Guess I became Acro's alternative option lol
I don't really have much to comment, besides the fact I'm taking request for osc views now, but NO FULL OST and NO DIRTY SONGS. I have no conditions for that.
Bless y'all!
The cover itself is pretty straight-forward, I had the samples that I got from this place: http://www.dkc-atlas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1951
...and that made things pretty smooth, though I might've missed one or two samples in this rendition (either because I didn't look for them properly or the guy who ripped was unlucky not to hit them).
The osc view, on the other hand, was the real challenge here. I tried my best to find a way to record each of the virtual PCM channels individually without desynchronizing with the whole track. The closest result I got was using the mixing feature SuperNSF has, but it still has a little desync here and there, but it's harder to notice it. (unless you have the original files like I do -_-)
But anyway, this little thing here won me a gold on Chip Jam VIII-Bit on Chiptune Café, and this was my wildcard to wreck the competition. This probably won't be allowed anymore in other jams. XD
Bless y'all!
NOT A COVER/REMIX. This was a request made by the composer himself. So I went ahead and rendered this real quick. The hard job was totally on his side, composing this banger. Props to him :)

I find the original one on Sega Genesis quite weak on the patches side, so I went ahead and made some custom ones for this piece. Based more on the SNES counterpart. This is one more of those covers where I'm warming up for something else. I hope you enjoy it!
Bless y'all!
Haven't been able to create much these days, so I decided to do a cover to warm up. First SNES song for real, made with OpenMPT and SNESMOD, plus SPCTool to mark the duration. Hope you enjoy!

Heavily inspired in Persona 5's hard rock tracks. This is pretty much a demo of some stuff that I developed throughout the past year (in terms of techniques and music genre choice). I've been wanting to do a track like this for quite some time, it's always nice for me to put guitars into action. Even if you don't like rock as much as I do, I hope you still enjoy this one. ^^
Bless y'all!
Music composed by ???????????.
Made for Autumn Jam 2 on Chiptune Café, got 1st place on covers. Nothing much to say here, I'm just happy I won a Jam again. ^^
Original song composed by Naoki Kodaka. Hope you enjoy.
So, let me explain how we ended up here. Weeks ago, I heard from a birdie that there was a "new" Jam happening in Chiptune Café, which is Autumn Jam 2. Since I like competing, I decided to try to at least do a cover, so I asked another birdie about this Jam. He gave me all the details about the competition, and then I started doing what I do best, which is to disconnect myself from what was more important (i. e. college studying) and waste time on Defle, composing one pattern a day. Not only that didn't work so well, but I only got to make two songs, one of them being THIS one. The other one will be posted later this week. But the issue here is: I wasn't supposed, according to the rules of the jam, to send a remix from a song I've already composed before in a previous jam. Luckily, I was smart enough to take a last glimpse at the rules at the very last hours and not submit it. When I noticed it, I was very mad. Wasted time on an ilegal entry. But that's okay, I wanted to make a new version of it anyway. Mostly to make a sweeter ending for it and some chord action. Enough of this, back to studying, I hope. See ya.
Wanted to finish this ASAP to make sure I wouldn't have to rush it close to the supposed day, which is Halloween day. For now, this is what I can give you. This is basically a cover of the SNES version, but I've included some stuff from the Rondo of Blood version, plus some touches of mine. This arrange, cover, or whatever you'd call it, has a PWM trick, that I made with Ozaleto and Genatari's help, and it sounds a lot like the original instrument on the SNES version. Not much to comment about the other instruments, tbh. Some are custom, some are ripped... The drum samples were obtained from some VSTs, including a Korg one.
Well, this is it, I guess. See you next time. I hope you enjoy.
This oscilloscope view was made with corrscope, by Jimbo1qaz.

MY FIRST ALBUM! Well, my first entry in an album. I'm very happy: being composer for two games, the channel growing despite of the lack of videos, and now this. This is one heck of a chance to make it grow bigger and bigger, learning more, making more friends and sharing knowledge with other people. I can't wait to have the chance to make something even more special, and that's because of all of you guys. :)
I remember having struggles at first when I started this cover, once I joined it on a critical month, and that almost screwed me. Thank God everything went right and Gali was very kind to give me more time to finish this, and now you see the result here. Now it's time to move on to unfinished matters: continue with the game music I'm working on and try to finish other stuff. Bless y'all and have a nice day! ^^

Oscilloscope view made with Maxim Zhao's sidwizplus. Hope you enjoy.
Decided to redo this for MARIO WORLD (youtube.com/channel/UCwvtj4ykDlCH92AhJsRHnMA), since he was struggling with the export, because Deflemask :P. Also, if you did notice I had it posted earlier, sorry, I've had many issues with YT processing. :(
This song was made having in mind Pegmode's style (youtube.com/user/ghkj2). Of course, the flow is very different from his stuff, 'cause I didn't want to be strict with it, only capture his instrumentation and influences(reason why it may sound like ZUN at times). I've also used some motifs from other tracks, just for fun ;). I hope you enjoy it.
This track got 1st place in Spring Break Party (Originals) on Chiptune Café.

This osc view was done with Maxim Zhao's sidwizplus.
This was done for Spring Break Jam (Covers Category) on Chiptune Café.
The song heavily samples "Another Life", by Kano. The samples used here aren't ripped from the .spc, I've recorded and adjusted them with Audacity and Edison. Enjoy!

Since sidwizplus has a 32-bit version, I can use it for these stuff. Oh boy, it's way better than the one I used before.
I decided to make this one to test an instrument I made back in December for an original I was gonna do for the Chiptune Cafe competition that was happening at the time. But the high pitch was a big problem, so I decided to scrap it and move it to the samples(tambourine). Since it was a 2OP patch, I was using it in the 3rd FM channel, along with the bass, thanks to the 'special mode'. When I discarded it, it opened space for an reverb channel, along with the usage of another percussion instrument at the end of the song. This was very fun to do, and quite fast to finish, thanks to the fact that the music of this game is sequenced. Yasunori Mitsuda is such an epic composer. Well, I hope you enjoy.
So, as I haven't posted anything for quite some time, I decided to record some of the tracks I've made between the months said in the title and put them together in a single video. It makes my life way easier. :)
Well, let's go for them.
(1)Emptiness: my first FINISHED GB track ever. And this one won the first Jam in Chiptune Cafe (Autumn Jam), making this one special for me. I'm happy to say that this track helped me improve a lot as a composer, since I've finally estabilished a style in my music. Of course, 'Emptiness' is heavily inspired by Castlevania 3 (mostly the track Rising), and it has a leitmotif from Hard Transition, song that I loved to produce back in July(2018).
(2)Erased: You could say... it's a 'sequel'(?). At that time, I was supposed to be doing a Java game for college, but started it instead. And I showed this to Ravan right after I did, like, 8 initial patterns. To be honest, I think I overdid my style in this one. I was too excited to do this one, and Ravan barely could keep up with me. :P Apart from that, it was a fun track to do. I really should do more GB tracks. Oh, and this one won the Decemberfest (Chiptune Cafe) Collabs section.
(3)Harmony of the Jumping Squares: Nothing superb, but it's a fun track. And quite loopy. SMS doesn't give me many resources as GB. And it lacks bass. :( But my drum technique helps a lot, and it's quite easy to use. Since PSG3 is connected to PSG4, all I have to do is abuse the macros in the instrument used on PSG3 in order to control PSG4. With volume over 0, PSG3 plays. Otherwise, PSG4 plays. With that, I can create kick and snare easily. It's way better in sounding than what's commonly used.
(4)Striking Towards the Opposition: The top-notch of this list. It's been waiting 3 months to be released. Started this one with the sole purpose of trying to beat Strobe in the Winter Chip XIV (BotB). I think this is the best I can do in terms of sound design. For real. I'm gonna be sad if I don't win with this one. This was really crazy to do.
(5)Beyond Any Thoughts: 2A03 only. Hm, what can we do here? Oh, that's right, 120HZ! Because I can! HAHAHAHAHA! Now, being serious, I started this one around mid December. I wasn't able to create stuff for the Decemberfest (cover and original) at the time, so I started this one without much purpose. And it became an entry for Winter Chip (BotB). Crazy stuff too.
Well, there are other songs that I didn't put on this list, either because the quality was lower than what I wanted, or because I want to post later. I hope you like this one.
P.S.: Finally I rendered it in 16:9. Darn it, I'm too dumb, should've done it way sooner.
Well, there's some trickery in this one. You may think the drums are PCM, but they're pure FM. Well, not purely, I've used the PSG to give it the punch. All the instruments used are hand-made, except for the snare. What is it? Well, I can say it's that it uses one of the Deflemask demos' instruments. Hope you enjoy! 👍
DMF file: drive.google.com/open?id=1K5jCLpCQmxlAWNfzU2XBM8LxFyRavve_
Yay, I did it. It's finished. This is something I wanted to do for some time: a good track with this chip. Good thing that this song "fits" into the 6 channels without much cut. Of course, I missed something here and there, like the reverb voices, but it wasn't a big issue. It was really nice to make this song, and the tool I found around to get the waves helped so much; it sounds close enough for me. Hope you enjoy!
Yep, at the moment this video is being posted for the public, it's my 18th anniversary. So I made this little song for the occasion. Hope you enjoy it. I'm not used to make cutie songs. :P
Re-upload, because the audio was too low. How fun it is to fix it on Android... 😑
