ℹ️ About the Episode: As RVers, we're known for creating our own style of travel. It can include the "touristy" stuff, but it doesn't have to. But some locations—like Tillamook, OR—may require leaning into the tours, museums, and chips & dip! This is actually our second visit to Tillamook. The first time we went was 7 years ago with all the kiddos, when Tillamook (the company) was building the beautiful factory and building you'll see in this episode. We were able to stay at the Blue Heron, a cheese maker and Harvest Host. A lot has changed there, too, in the past 7 years. They now reserve an entire field for dry camping, complete with site numbers. This is helpful because, unlike other Harvest Hosts, you can easily disconnect and go see the sights. (Not to mention pick up a few fun things inside!) This episode includes a very easy and scenic hike, a train ride from Garibaldi to Rockaway, and washing the truck and RV at Pacific Rim RV and Boat Wash. Marc provides some tips on how not to turn a $20 RV wash into a few hundred dollars in repairs. Then we make our way to the stunning Cannon Beach and enjoy our Tillamook goodies over happy hour.
