#WHOI physical oceanographers are on board the University of Rhode Island research vessel to study freshwater in the Labrador Coastal Current. The data they’re collecting with onboard instruments, oceanographic moorings, and surface drifters will reveal more about where Arctic meltwater goes once it enters the North Atlantic–and potential changes to Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), an important component of global ocean circulation.
