This stunning example of Wire Wrap and Chainmaille Artistry measures 19 3/4 inches long. The handmade triple loop chain is about 3/8 inch wide.
It took over 4 1/2 feet of Sterling Silver Square wire to skilfully wrap the sizable Rutilated Quartz Cabochon which measures 30 x 22 mm and it's dome is 12mm high. The finished pendant measures 1 inch x 1 3/4 x 1/2 high.
A truly stunning example of Copper hair like fibers growing within the clear Quartz Crystal.
I then constructed the Two Tone Triple Loop Chain using another 16 feet of Sterling Silver 18 gauge wire and 9 feet of 18 gauge square Copper wire.
The clasp is a 16 gauge Sterling Silver "figure 8" closure of my own design. More secure than a basic S Hook clasp.
In total it took over 29.5 feet of glimmering wire and 16 hours of skillful labor to frame the beauty of this Rutilated Quartz Cabochon.
Rutilated Quartz is identified as quartz crystal containing rutile crystals growing within it. Rutilated quartz is known to intensify the power of the quartz crystal. Excellent for insight, awareness and communication. Strengthens the immune system and stimulates brain functions.Known to ease depression and quell fear.
