In the State of Florida, all government employees and contractors MUST give their name upon request and should wear a badge so citizens can see who they are speaking to. It is against the law for such people to refuse to give their names. The reason for this is because everything is done in the light of the day, not in the shade. Hence no shady business. In such, when the employees I am asking to tell me their name are refusing to do so, they are acting outside the legal parameters of their job, and in such, need to be fired. You, as a citizen, do not need to give them your name because you are a citizen and not under the employee of the government. When these gov employees are on their own time, not on the job, they then do not have to provide their names because at that point, just like you, they are just a citizen and have the right to privacy. They chose to lose that right the moment they chose to work for the government or a business entity that contracts with the government.
Why is this man blocking a park patron from entering part of the park that is open to the public? It's harassment. He may not do it. In one breath he claims ignorance as to when the event begins. In the next, he claims he works there. The gates can be closed three hours before the event begins. The event begins at 6pm, which means the gates can be closed at 3pm. This isn't rocket science. It's simple. It is also contractual. Ruth Eckerd Hall has been given permission to set up before 3 hours before the event (actually, the extension of time is not legal because the city refused to allow public comments during the city commissioners meeting, which voids everything that took place during that meeting).
This Ruth Eckerd Hall Security guard is completely out of control. She's rude. She's abrasive. She degrading. She should work somewhere where there are no people - like a sewer plant - because her ability to properly and kindly interact with those she serves (contract with the city means she serves the People) is non-existence, but her nastiness runs rampant with Ruth Eckerd Hall staff that works at the City of Clearwater's amphitheater called BayCare Sound. They are tyrannical, which they wouldn't be able to be if the city was on top of this, and if their contract was voided due to their breach of contract and acts of bad faith, as well as the fact that Ruth Eckerd Hall is a monopoly for big musical events in Clearwater.
