In July, Russia launched a record 377 missiles at Ukraine — more than double the previous monthly high. Out of 126 ballistic missiles launched, Ukraine stopped only 36 due to a severe shortage of Patriot interceptor missiles.
While President Donald Trump initially pledged to allow Ukraine to produce Patriot missiles domestically, he later appeared to walk back that statement, noting that the technology is "a hard thing to give away." US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker confirmed no manufacturing agreement currently exists, though co-production options are being discussed for the long term.
