Ambassador Alexander Darchiev of the Russian Federation's Embassy in Ottawa rides in the Soviet T34/85 main battle tank during Awesome Tank Days at the Canadian War Museum, 28 August 2016.
This tank was a gift to Canada from the USSR in May 1989 in thanks for the wartime support in weapons and supplies used to fight and defeat the fascists.
