Russia, through the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of Rostec, unveiled the first prototype of the modernized Yak-130M jet trainer. The aircraft is currently undergoing ground and flight tests at the Irkuts Aviation Plant, while two other models are under assembly.
Developed by the Yakovlev Design Bureau, the Yak-130M was designed with combat capabilities while retaining its training functions.
This modernization transformed the Yak-130M into a dual-role aircraft, capable of carrying out advanced training missions and light combat operations.
