The physics changed quite a lot from Beta to Retail as you can tell. One thing you cant do too well in the Beta is Slide. If you jump from a high(ish) place and land on a slant, you just stop dead. Theres no Bou Slide or Maluu type slide (you know what I mean). The only kind of slide that is possible is your ordinary Halo 3 Style uncrouch and jump at the same time. Unlike Halo 2 retail, you can Edge Slide REALLY far in the Beta, as you can tell from the video.
Here is a list of things I tested during my couple days with the Beta:
Edge Ghost - Better
Slide(s) - Worst
Edge Slide - Better
Edge Bounce - Yes
Bunny Hop - Better
Overjump - Same
Save - Same
Ramp - Same
Late jump - Undecided
Super bounce - Worst
I put undecided for late jumps because Ive landed some long jumps (in the Beta) no save, which Ive never landed in Halo 2 Retail no save. So there could be a couple possibilities. Because of the messed up Field of View (FOV), its hard to tell whether I run a little faster, or Im allowed to jump a little later... Who knows, Who cares.
Super Bouncing in the Beta is... weird. You dont need to crouch somewhere before hand, all you do is uncrouch the same time you land. You fall through the map 70% of the time which is great for tricking but not so good for bouncing.
Last but not least, you dont need to crouch for Edge Ghosts, that includes 90º Edge Ghosts!

NOTE! In order to play this you will need a modded original Xbox or a JTAGed 360
INSTRUCTIONS:
FIrst of all, plug two controllers into your Xbox. You are going to be navigating all the menus in the Beta with the second controller! Run the beta_unlocked.xbe. Agree to the Terms. Press Start and select the Guest profile (remember this should be signing in player 2). When it says log into your live account just press B to get to the menu. Select Xbox Live and sign in player 1 as a guest also, Or make another profile (Dont edit the Guest profile). Select arranged game. Then just select the map you want and play! Use the first controller to launch the game. Enjoy.")
