Nothing like a time where you want to relax and you boot up Minecraft and this song plays.

Making this arrangement made me feel nostalgic since I am one of the people who played Minecraft as early as the Alpha version. Even though the soundtrack was recently added, it still made me feel nostalgic from the times I used to play this game before. Minecraft is defenitely my go to game when I want to relax.
Talking about the arrangement, I went with a Smooth Jazz/RnB approach. When I first planned this arrangement, I immediately thought that I should keep the original piano in the start of the song to at least be loyal to the original, this song was composed by C418 btw, who did a fantastic job making us feel, home.
I added a little bit of color through adding chord extensions and reharmonization. I am really proud of the reharm on this one! That Bsus2/G# sounds so nostalgic and it fit the vibe of the song.
In terms of video editing, this is the first video that I filmed in 4K, exporting this was a challenge though, its a good thing that Proxy Editing in Premiere Pro helped me editing this efficiently, haha!

This song is really fun to arrange in terms of music theory perspective, especially in the B section when the song goes around the circle of fifths in a satisfying way that takes it back to the home key. Naoto Kubos writing here is SOOOO GOOOD!
As you can hear in 4:04, I quoted Jump-up Superstar. This is based on my friend Patrick (ACappellaVGM)s arrangement of Bubblaine over on his channel, where he also sang Lets do the odyssey in the most dramatic 2-5-1 in this song, which makes the lyric sound really dramatic.

This is also the first video that I did outside my studio! Since I am now fully vaccinated and now able to go outside, I wont have to worry too much about getting sick, so thats nice!
We recorded the beach shots in Lobo, Batangas. My family and I had our vacation there to celebrate my Birthday! (which was on November 21 btw) My big brother helped me film the shots here!
