I'm working on a video going into more detail on the Killer Poke and after getting in touch with André Fachat who wrote this great write up ( 6502.org/users/andre/petindex/poke/index.html ) I was asked to take some measurements with it running.
Thinking about the screen shrinking more, I suspect it isn't just in the bottom half, I bet it is centered but the linearity is changed and it is compressed significantly at the bottom.
