You know me, if there's a game about going fast, chances are I'll look into it. And while the immediate comparison while looking at the gameplay from a first glance is with Sonic The Hedgehog (at this point, the term Sonic-like is a thing now), I actually think a better comparison would be with Defunct (remember that indie game?), as both games share an emphasis on using slopes and hills to acquire more momentum for greater speed and higher jumps.

Unlike Defunct though, which is pretty much a linear level to level adventure, HASTE has more bite-sized, procedurally generated levels focused solely on running and obstacle avoidance, with a rogue-like progression system. You CANNOT stay in one place to smell the roses for too long, otherwise you'll just die. There aren't really enemies to speak of, save for the boss at the end of the demo, but your biggest obstacles are the environment itself and botomless pits. From what I've played so far, it really works in the games favor.

And the sense of speed and scale is amazing, you really feel like a speedster and I'd be lying if I'd say I'm not looking forward to this game when it gets a full release.
