Slow NAS transfer speed from the internet? This is a tutorial on how to use docker and command line to install and run a speed test from a Synology NAS to verify the speed from the internet directly to the NAS.

I found this very useful to help verify why my Download Station downloads were performing so badly. I wanted to eliminate the connection to the internet from the equation to know that it's either a problem with the download site or a problem with the Download Station settings.
