Deep in the corners of the Dwarven Mines, an underground network goes unpunished. A gangster with a Runescape twist would be an interesting storyline to dig deeper into, and yet all he is used for is to prolong the chain in one of Runescape's most infamous quests. How does he stay hidden from the Black Guard's activities? What other nefarious dealings is he involved with? Does he have any ties to the Red Axe? All questions that go unanswered.
In this week's Hotspot, we'll be going over Hammerspike Stoutbeard, the dwarven gangster with untapped potential. There's a lot you can try to do with such a character, from making a Runescape Godfather parody, to creating a menace that threatens even the Consortium. From creating trouble back in Keldagrim, to uncovering dark secrets below Ice Mountain, we'll workshop some ideas on how we can involve this gangster into something bigger than just pestering Tassie.
