Note on claws/DDS:
Claws max as far as I know is actually 580, though I only recorded a 579 spec. I'm not too concerned with tiny damage differences like that, it's pointless spending hours trying to get +1 damage lol.
DDS max is 650, which is shown as a single hit, but maxing both hits is one of the hardest max hits to get in the game. I got 97% of it's maximum potential (1260/1300) and decided to stick with that rather than delay the video further for an unkown length of time. I asked about it on Facebook and most people that responded preffered 97% than a longer wait.
What is the armour you're using?
Profound decorative armour, it is a set of armour you can buy from castle wars using castle wars tickets. The set has a special effect that only works in castle wars which boosts your damage by 25% when wearing the in-game set (plate, legs and shield). The damage boost is slightly lower if you wear just the plate and legs.
How are you hitting over 990?
Two methods are used, one being sara brews and the other being Pernix. Brews allow you to heal above your maximum hitpoints and Pernix increases the wearers base hitpoints.
What about other dragon weapons?
I was originally going to do dragon weapons in two parts, but after trying stuff like d2h the hits weren't really that great, so I decided to drop them and focus on (IMO) the 4 most interesting dragon weaps. Hally and DDS have similar specs and similar damage potential, so I just went with DDS since it's more widely used.
Hybrid armour max hits?
By the looks of it the new hybrid sets may increase some two handed weapon max hits, it's gonna take some time to get hold of though so I'll probably just carry on this series of maxing with profound. Once I get a set I'll play around a bit to see if it's worthwhile redoing any previous weapons.

Maxing Dharok
Full Dharok is one of the highest hitting weapons on the game, so is always fun to max. The main problem with maxing it, is the lack of undead monsters with enough hitpoints.
As you can see in the video, I did most of the maxing on level 155 Spectral Attendants, which are sadly only available during the quest Nomads Requiem, which after completing, you no longer have access to these ghosts. It is still possible to hit 124 without the quest, although more time consuming and dangerous. There are skeletons in the ancient cavern that have 124 hitpoints, and it is possible to 1 hit them. Had these skeletons had more hp, the max hit would also increase, so as of this moment in time, Dharoks max hit is actually limited due to a lack of an undead monster with enough hp (spectral attendants only give +30% str with turmoil, which is why 124 was the max). I completed Nomads Requiem on the 12th January, so no longer have access to the Spectral Attendants.
Something else that always bugs me is the widespread rumor that Dharoks set effect works to its fullest when youre below 10% hitpoints, this is NOT true. You NEED 1 hitpoint to max and a hitpoints level of 99 (each hitpoint you lose boosts your strength, so the bigger the difference between your base hp and your current hp, the more str you get. It does not stop adding str once youre below 10% despite what many people think), you also need 99 strength (duh :P). Ive spent a hell of a lot of time maxing Dharok and not once have I ever hit the max hit on anything but 1hp, I always hit slightly less than max if Ive been on 2-3+hp. 124 may be possible on a skeleton warlord with more than 1hp, but this is because the max hit is higher than their hitpoints.
About Max Hits Series
I have made the decision to change how I make my maxing videos. From now on I will no longer be spending a ridiculous amount of time/money/effort on one single video, but will be splitting it up into smaller videos like this one and post some info about maxing the particular weapons in the description for those that are interested.
So basically, instead of maxing a weapon, then waiting months till Id maxed another 10-20 weapons to make a video from it and upload it, I will now upload the videos more regularly once Ive actually finished maxing the weapon. Most videos will contain 1-3 weapons, depending on how hard they are to max.
The main reason Ive decided to do this, is because maxing has gradually become harder and the amount of work that is now required for one 5 minute video, that has a good chance of being ruined at any moment from an update, seems way too much. Ive rather just upload the videos without having to worry about any updates spoiling it. Especially with stuff like new skills, master quests, new boss monsters on the horizon, the likelihood of something increasing max hits seems pretty big.
I will still make compilation videos like I did with 1, 2 and 3 (loads of weapons in a single video), but Ill upload those to Machinima for whoever wants to watch them.
I think overall this system is much better for me, the big maxing videos can get pretty stressful spending so much time and money on a 5 minute video, just to have an update come out boosting stength bonus by +2 or something before anyone has even seen the clips. I will enjoy uploading smaller videos much more than having the video files just sat on my computer for months, and Im sure most people would prefer I do it this way too. Ill still make the bigger videos, and this might even speed up their release since making them is a series of smaller videos, rather than one great big mother fucker of a vid that will take months, Ill be much more motivated to work on them this way.
The big maxing videos require an average of about 1 hour and 1.3m GP per 3-4 seconds of video. So im sure you can see why Im splitting them up, and how annoying it is when an update comes out meaning youd need to start again :P
(thats average, some weapons are more time consuming than others, some are cheaper, but overall that is the average for a full video)
