Meet Ikaruga, the commanding officer of the shikigami unit Jingasa Corps, dispatched by the shogunate to oversee the Azuma region. Though he carries himself with a calm and composed demeanor, his steely resolve and personal ambitions give him an imposing presence. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his goals—no matter the cost.
Yet beneath this stoic exterior lies an unexpectedly chuunibyou-flavored flair: Ikaruga has a dramatic streak, especially during battle. One hilarious moment in the trailer shows him facing three tiny wolves with protagonist Kaguya, only to deliver a speech worthy of a final boss battle—despite the fact that his foes are just harmless woodland creatures.
Voicing this theatrical warrior in the Japanese version is none other than Yūsuke Kobayashi, known for his standout roles as Subaru Natsuki in Re:Zero and Senkuu Ishigami in Dr. Stone—both characters known for their over-the-top, yet endearing personalities. For English version ? No yet announced.

This year, Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny / Oceans has turned 13, and weve attempted to enhance the video quality of both first and second or alternate opening animations from the game to a higher standard, up to 4K resolution and 60 FPS, using artificial upscaling techniques with the assistance of the Real CUGAN NCNN Vulkan model and RIFE NCNN Vulkan for frame interpolation. This results in sharper and smoother animations.
