Returning as a cameo from Rune Factory 5, Hina makes her reappearance in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma as one of the romance candidates. This half-human, half-fox girl arrives in Azuma alongside Mauro via airship, introducing herself as an archaeologist. But is that really the truth?
In several gameplay demo streams shared by Marvelous, there’s an interesting moment that might hint at her true identity. If you pay close attention, Hina—voiced by Mela Lee in English and Shiina Natsukawa in Japanese—accidentally utters the first two letters “SE…” before quickly correcting herself, insisting that she is merely an archaeologist. Judging by her outfit, it seems fairly obvious that she is actually an agent of SEED, possibly carrying out a secret mission she cannot disclose to the people of Azuma.
