In this video, I discuss the strategy of renting hashrate, pointing it at your own Bitcoin node and Datum gateway, and using it to mine BIP-110 signaling blocks.
This strategy expands on what is already taking place: most "miners" are just hashers who are happy to rent out their hashrate to large mining pools in exchange for steady cash flow, while giving up all power over deciding what actually ends up in Bitcoin blocks.
What we are doing is diverting some of this hash, which will have the added benefit of helping to decentralize Bitcoin mining.
