After all, there was no more dominant player in the competition on his day than Wayne Carey and on the form he'd displayed through the
pre- season we all wondered how he would be stopped.
He was ably supported by John Longmire, Corey McKernan, a midfield which boasted Wayne Schwass, Anthony Stevens and Mathew Armstrong and a tight and tough defence led by Mick Martyn and Ross Smith.
It all added up to a '95 which might just net football's greatest prize.
