Rufus Buck and Trudy Smith's Black Family Trauma || The Netflix original movie “The Harder They Fall,” starring the likes of Jonathan Majors and Zazie Beetz, features plenty of historical western figures from black history. However, upon my reaction to the movie, the depiction of two of those figures -- Rufus Buck and Trudy Smith played by Idris Elba and Regina King respectively -- can serve as a way of exploring how black family trauma is passed down from generation to generation upon the movie’s further review.
