I decided to play on the keyboard today. I like a lot of songs by Rufio, including this one. The verse uses a iii-IV-I-V6 progression. I didn’t make any sheet music this time, but it’s in F# and uses IV-V-vi a lot.
To make this I used a guitar cable (from Bestbuy) which I plugged into my piano, a Yamaha YPG535. I connected it to my laptop, right clicked on speakers and headphones, went to recording devices and disabled everything except external mic. Then I went to mixcraft (I have the trial version), and changed the preferences to lower the latency. You might have to play with it until it sounds good. I recorded in mixcraft. Right clicked on speakers and headphones again and disabled everything except stereo mix, then I opened Audacity. I press record, and then went back to mixcraft and pressed play. So everything in mixcraft now gets transferred to Audacity. I export what’s in Audacity and then use windows live movie maker to finish the video.
