I completed this ruck in honour of my Great Uncle, John Lahm, who fought in Italy with the Cape Breton Highlanders. He was wounded in fighting near Ravenna when a AT rocket hit the upper floor of the farmhouse he was in.
In addition, I remember the service of all those Canadians, present to past, who wrote a blank cheque to Canada and paid with time missed, mental and physical injuries, or their very lives. Lest We Forget.
