“JUNO Award-nominated alternative artist Ruby Waters shares her highly anticipated debut full-length album, What's The Point. This new release is a quintessential piece of work Waters has dedicated hours and hours cultivating with the help of her long-time producer, Sam Jackson Willows. The album places the listener in the passenger seat of Waters' life, allowing for the visceral experience of all that she is—good times, sex, rock n roll, car rides, and everything in between. With a sound that is both bold and powerful, What's The Point is a testament to Waters' passion, vibrancy, and relatable insight.
Sharing her personal attachment to the album, Waters expressed, "This album is really allowing me to grow and shed some old skin. I hope it does the same for others. The title What's The Point is just a reminder that we're constantly on a tightrope between the two opposing sides of life, having meaning or having no meaning at all. I think it's okay to walk towards different sides of that tightrope day-to-day, and I think it's good to remember that two things can be true at once. I hope this album feels like a big comforting hug to whoever needs one!””

Saw Ruby live twice this year. The first time in Paris and the second in Los Angeles. She had this energy and those heavy emotions that really threw me off. This is one of my favorite songs from her. Love her so much.

What do you wanna see?
If you wanna dive, how deep?
Is it greener on the other side?
Shut tight or open wide?
All you did today,
Well I’d say that you did okay
Yeah you just keep on keepin’ on
You deserve to get it on
I am not holding my breath
I just simply can’t breathe
Get off my chest
And let me smoke, fuck, and rest in peace
I’ll go ‘til I’m broke in the knees
And the pockets of my jeans
If you’d let me be
Oh would you please just let me be
Over my head or under the bed?
The top shelf at the liquor store
Or just two or a few 2, 4’s?
I don’t think enough
Or I just think too much
I have shifted all 5 gears
Now I feel like I can’t steer
I am not holding my breath
I just simply can’t breathe
Get off my chest
And let me smoke, fuck, and rest in peace
I’ll go ‘til I’m broke in the knees
And the pockets of my jeans
If you’d let me be
Oh would you please just let me be
Well I might be wrong
Man I could be right
I don’t wanna change my pace
Let’s get the fuck out of this place
I am not holding my breath
I just simply can’t breathe
Get off my chest
And let me smoke, fuck, and rest in peace
I’ll go ‘til I’m broke in the knees
And the pockets of my jeans
If you’d let me be
Oh would you please just let me be
