Two men showed off their robot that can solve a Rubik's cube in just a little over one second.
Software engineers Jay Flatland and Paul Rose from Kansas, Missouri, are 'in the process right now of applying for an official world record.
The current world record is just over 2 seconds and is also by a robot. If Jay Flatland and Paul Rose's robot's attempt is accepted, they would beat the prior world record by a full second.
Flatland and Rose's machine was built by plugging separate motors. Each motor supported by a 3D-printed frame.
Four USB webcams also are hooked up to a computer to 'determine the state' of the cube's colors.
