"I would say, in all of my films, the kind of situations the characters are dealing with, is that they are thrown into a set-up that can push them into different directions. Often, they are dealing with a dilemma. (…) Dilemma is so efficient to use when you are writing a film. You have a character that has two or more options, but none of the options are easy.
