Some nice updates to the RS Beta today.
There is a new constitution ability which allows you to toggle single/multi combat in the wilderness.

All weapons have had their stats adjusted. Magic staves were nerfed since they were really overpowered.

Graphical Rework of bronze-dragon weapons

Dungeoneering ring:
» Tactician: Increases chance to hit with one-handed melee weapons.
» Berserker: Increases chance to hit with 2-handed melee weapons.
» Sniper: Increases chance to hit with bows.
» Blazer: Now has a chance to apply "Combust" with a low damage DoT
» Blitzer: Increases the chance to cast spells faster with staves.

$How to Play Oldschool RS on the Client In this video I show how to make the rs client work for the 2007 servers. The instructions given by Jagex in the official rs wiki can be seen here: http://i.imgur.com/kZVt62p.png but Id recommend just following along in the video as I try to make it as clear as possible. 1. Go to the folder C:Users{user}jagexcachejagexlauncher or C:Documents and Settings{user}jagexcachejagexlauncher Where user is your username. 2. Copy the folder called runescape and rename it to oldschool 3. Open the oldschool folder and rename the .prm file to oldschool 4. Open the oldschool.prm file with a plaintext editor like notepad or textpad 5. Replace the line: -Dcom.jagex.config=http://www.runescape.com/k=3/l=$(Language:0)/jav_config.ws with: -Dcom.jagex.config=http://oldschool.runescape.com/jav_config.ws and then save and close the file ^Make sure you copy the entire thing, including bit that youtube cuts off. 6. Right click on the shortcut you use to open the regular runescape client and open its properties. There should be an option to open file location so click that. 7. The file shown now is the actual executable program that is run to use the client. Copy the file and rename the copy to something like JagexOldschoolLauncher.exe 8. Right click on it and make a shortcut to it(or pin it to the taskbar or start menu). 9. Right click on the shortcut you just made and open the properties. 10. In the area called Target: edit it so after it says the file name theres a space and then the word oldschool 11. Apply changes and close the properties windows. 12. Run the shortcut to play 2007scape on the client :) Also unnecessary, but if you want the actual icon for the client from 2008 you can dl it here: http://www.2shared.com/file/bY04u3V0/oldschool.html To use it you just open the properties of your client shortcut and click change icon and then select browse, navigate to the .ico, and select it.$
