Roy City, UT, PD. Suspect was stopped on a traffic stop and gave a false name and then fled in a vehicle. Officers tracked driver and suspect to a field where he fled on foot. Suspect fired at officers hitting a K9 in the face. Officer hit suspect with his vehicle while suspect fired into the windshield. This did not kill or stop the suspect. Officers located the suspect laying in some brush and he once again engaged officers. Officers returned fire hitting the suspect multiple times neutralizing the threat. K9 will recover after surgery.
