The two photographs analyzed here were taken by Rover Curiosity on Sol 3796 (11 April 2023).
Featured here are multiple examples of spherical objects found by the Curiosity and Perseverance Rovers. The recent object photographed by Curiosity seems to have been laser blasted by the rover.
Could these small button mushroom-shaped object be living creatures getting their moisture from water we've seen in this area seeping up through the Martian surface, are some of these perhaps fossilized shells, some type of fungus and/or iron/metal balls (like ancient ammunition)? Two of the spherical objects appear to have hexagonal indentations like we find in some bolts/screws here on Earth.
As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.
