Andrei Robachevsky (Global Cyber Alliance, NL)
Andrei Robachevsky is a seasoned professional in the field of Internet infrastructure and cybersecurity, currently serving as the Technical Director of the Internet Integrity Program at the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA). In this role, he focuses on developing collaborative approaches to address key cybersecurity shortcomings in the Internet infrastructure, engaging with operators, researchers, and policy stakeholders.
Prior to his tenure at GCA, Robachevsky was the Senior Director of Technology Programs at the Internet Society until February 2024. During his time there, he was instrumental in launching the Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security (MANRS) initiative, an industry-led effort aimed at improving the security and resilience of the Internet’s global routing system.
Earlier in his career, he served as the Chief Technical Officer at the RIPE NCC, one of the five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs), where he was responsible for the organization’s IT strategy, including the management of the K-root DNS root server.
Robachevsky has been actively involved in various Internet governance and technical communities. He was a member of the Internet Architecture Board (IAB) from 2010 to 2012 and participated in the Consolidated RIR IANA Stewardship Proposal (CRISP) team in 2014. In November 2024, he was elected to the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC).

Increasingly the enterprise digital assets are located outside the organization perimeter. Therefore, routing security becomes a critical requirement of security the supply chain. To increase awareness and participation among enterprises, a second, elevated tier of MANRS (https://www.manrs.org) participation is being developed that requires connectivity providers to comply with more stringent provisions and auditing – MANRS+. It creates a stronger business case for routing security for providers while engaging their customers by raising awareness, generating demand, and providing necessary tools for security assurance. It is a compact set of routing security controls and audit requirements that can be embedded in common infosec frameworks and referenced in procurement practices. This talk will talk about strengthening security for enterprises and their connectivity providers.
