To celebrate 60 years of the closure of the Eridge to Hailsham 'Cuckoo Line', the Spa Valley Railway reopened the Heathfield Tunnel at its southern portal from the 13-15th of June, allowing visitors to have a walk through.

On top of that, preserved buses were conducting feeder services from the tunnel to Tunbridge Wells West station. This service either called at Rotherfield station (SD/low height DDs only) or ran direct like this bus did, mainly following route 51 down the A267, and took 30 minutes to complete. Enjoy!

T23 was new to London Transport out of Hornchurch garage in June 1979. It was withdrawn from London services in 2001, and was preserved by the London Bus Museum in December 2011. More information of this bus can be found here: londonbusmuseum.com/what-to-see/double-deck-buses/leyland-titan-t23
