I am ELATED to finally show you guys this remaster. It’s got “quite” the story to it 🫠

ALRIGHT, I have been grinding this song out for like 2 months now to have it ready for Christmas. I’m a very busy person and got more work hours this month so it made it VERY difficult to work on this video. But I grinded, I sat down for hours each day, drawing, mixing, composing, the whole nine yards, 10 even! And as the holidays grew closer, I kept pushing harder and harder to get it done. It’s Christmas Eve, I get home, and keep on working on it, it’s ALMOST DONE!!! All I had to do was make the night version, export, then edit all of it in a video editing software. Family shows up and I’m taken away from work the whole night. And then the night comes to an end, I can keep working on the video, I’m editing the final parts of the day version. I go to bed because it’s like 4 am at this point. I wake up, keep grinding. I kept making stupid mistakes due to my fatigue and had to render the video MULTIPLES of times. It was driving me crazy. As I’m about to render the last part and start editing the video in an editing software….. my monitor starts going haywire. Scan lines going across the screen, then it turned black. The monitor broke. And thank goodness I had an old monitor lying around that I could use. I plugged it in, and wow it looks so dated, but IT WORKED. So I keep editing the video and EVENTUALLY GOT IT FINISHED 😭
And now I’m here, typing this description…
so yeah! What a fun way to start my Christmas Day! I always enjoy making videos but sometimes it’s the most dreaded task on the planet…
BUT ANYWAYS! I actually started this remaster a whole year ago 😳 I had originally wanted to just remaster the “Route 216 (Night)” version for Christmas of 2024. But things got in the way and I never got around to it. And as I’m rummaging around my backlog for SOMETHING to make for Christmas this year, I see this bad boy, fired it up and kept on creating. Halfway through remastering it, I had a great idea of just combining the day and night theme into one mashup! It came out very smoothly and transitioned VERY seamlessly due to a little composing here and there 😉 I also decided to differentiate both versions with more than just a few semitones change, I added some more instruments, changed some, slight variations here and there to give each section its own style. I’m very happy with the result and I hope you guys are too!
I’m not gonna go into too much detail for the artwork because this description is already long enough AND I JUST WANNA UPLOAD THE VIDEO! But, the art was easily the most fun I’ve had drawing in a while. Mt. Coronet is so beautiful and I really tried to capture its uncanny beauty… Drawing the pokemon on Lucas’ team was fun to do as well since I could essentially add whichever pokemon I wanted, but I decided to stay true to the climate and chose pokemon that you would most likely see or bring to Route 216. But anyways guys, I truly hope that this year was everything you wanted it to be, and I know that 2026 will become one of the best for this community. I love you all so much and I am incredibly grateful for all the support you guys give me… (given my infrequent upload schedule 😅) See you guys soon, in 2026 😎
