David Allen was a radio broadcaster who started broadcasting in the early 1940s doing poetry programmes on the radio in New York and Baltimore "Remembered Words " was a popular poetry programme he produced and narrated. I believe he also worked in films and television but I haven't found any biographical information about him beyond the scant information in the notes of the dozen or so vinyl records he recited poetry on up until the early 1970s.
