The Rosetta mission is a first of a kind comet mission. The Rosetta spacecraft will , after several swing-bys, fly in orbit around the comet 67P/C-G. After mapping the surface, the landing probe Philaea will descent on November 12th 2014 and make the first controlled touch down on a comet surface. The first surface pictures of a comet will be obtained and the first in situ analysis will be performed.
