Hi, Guys!
We were given the assignment to play Rosanna by Toto (obviously this is a cover.) We had 1 week to learn to play this song. I have never played it before and this shuffle feel is not something I am quite used to playing. The chart that was provided did not contain all those crazy ghost notes Jeff Porcaro played in the original recording. The goal for this assignment was to test our chart reading skills and to see if we could perform the shuffle feel. Obviously this assignment was not to perfection and of course it would take a longer while than only 1 week to get that feel flowing with ease. It was a struggle for me and it was a heck of a week. I put in 37 hours to be exact to get this much down. Anyhow.. Monumental fail at the end of the video as my stick/grip slipped and caused me to loose the groove so to speak. I decided to not re record as I think the basic idea is there and also have to get moving with my next assignment that needs to be turned in next Sunday and also, I'm just that burned out to re record! I hope to have the opportunity to keep working on this song after I am finished with school as I know there is much to learn from it. With that said. I hope you all enjoy! :)
