What can you say - it's us spending an hour with The Prince, as Peter Rowan called him, Ronnie McCoury in the last Monroe Jam Lab. We talked about Ronnie growing up in the festival world, the McCoury right hand, breakthroughs, tremolo, his friendship with David McLaughlin and mandolin influence there, David Grisman and Frank Wakefield in his life, his friendship with Bill Monroe and a lot more. At the end I was surprised by the students, current and former, including Wyatt Ellis, with some really special surprises and we enjoyed celebrating the end of the Monroe Style Zoom era and everything we accomplished in the previous five years. And we also got treated to a nice Quicksburg Rendevouz and learned about how he came to name it that way. Hope y'all enjoy!
